A day at GFIS
8:00-8:30
Arrival
Students make their way to school in different ways—by bus, train, walking, or being dropped off.
バス、電車、徒歩、送迎などそれぞれのスタイルで登校します。
8:30-9:00
Morning meeting
After engaging their minds with activities to build vocabulary, writing skills, and basic math abilities, students refresh themselves with morning yoga and stretching to relax their bodies.
ボキャブラリー、ライティング、基礎計算力などを強化するワークで頭を使った後、モーニングヨガ・ストレッチで体をほぐしてリフレッシュさせます。

Period 1, Period 2
Core subjects, such as English and Math, are taught in the morning. Physical education is held twice a week.
午前中の内にコア科目（英語、算数）を行います。週に2回体育を行います。

Morning recess
Students head outside to refresh themselves, and one of the great things about GFIS is that they can play games like Four Square and make friends across different grade levels.外に出てリフレッシュ、フォースクエアなど学年に拘らずお友達と遊べるのがGFISの良いところです。

Period 3, Period 4
In addition to core subjects, students study Japanese (three times a week), as well as science and social studies. Each subject is taught based on grade level and individual proficiency.
コア科目に加え国語（週3回）や理科、社会などを学びます。各教科の学習は学年・レベル別に行います。
12:15-13:00
Lunch
For lunch, students can order a bento box or bring one from home. Lunchtime is a fun and social experience, with students enjoying their meals while chatting at mixed-grade tables.
ランチはお弁当の注文ができます。自宅からお弁当を持って来る生徒もいます。ランチの時間も学年混合のテーブルでおしゃべりしながら楽しみます。
13:00-13:30
Recess
After lunch, students relax and usually head outside to get some physical activity.
ランチの後はリラックス、たいていは外に出て体を動かします。
13:30-14:00
Quiet reading time
Students choose their favorite books from the library and enjoy quiet reading time. Additionally, programming lessons are offered twice a week.
ライブラリーから自分の好きな本を選び静かに読書を行います。週に2回プログラミング学習の時間も設けています。

Period 5, Period 6
In the afternoon, students participate in specialized subjects like music and art, as well as inquiry-based learning. This is a time when their creativity truly comes alive.
午後は音楽や美術などの専科や探求学習を行います。生徒達のクリエイティビティが活発になる時間です。

Cleaning
Students work together to fulfill their assigned duties, helping one another as needed. They take responsibility for keeping their learning environment clean, incorporating the positive aspects of Japanese culture.
各当番の役割を助け合って行います。自分たちの学びの場は自分たちできれいに、日本の良い文化も取り入れます。

Afternoon meeting
Students reflect on their day and set goals for tomorrow.
今日の振り返りと明日の目標を立てる時間です。

After school program
The after-school care program is optional. Students can enjoy a snack, complete their homework, and spend the remaining time freely engaging in activities like games or crafts. (The program accommodates any language).
ご希望者には放課後の預かりを実施しています。スナックを食べた後、それぞれ宿題をすませ、残った時間はゲームやクラフトなど自由に過ごします。（放課後預かりについては言語は自由です）
