Ms Rumi earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education, magna cum laude, from the University of Oregon, USA.

While at the university, she gained valuable teaching experience at local kindergartens and elementary schools and worked as a research assistant at the university library. She has also contributed to higher education as a part-time lecturer at Shinshu University and Matsumoto University.

She completed the TESOL course at the University of Oregon and possesses extensive expertise and skills in the field of education, with a particular focus on English language teaching.

Originally from the United States, Mr. Charlie graduated from Eastern University with a major in English Literature and earned a teaching qualification from the University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom. He holds teaching certifications in both the U.S. and the U.K.

After teaching in the English Education Special District in Shimosuwa, Nagano, Mr. Charlie gained extensive experience teaching at International Baccalaureate (IB) certified international schools in Japan, Cambodia, and Oman. Returning to Shinshu, he is now dedicated to inspiring students through interdisciplinary lessons that are driven by their individual inquiries, captivating their interest and fostering engagement.

With a passion for helping students develop literacy skills and the confidence to express themselves, Mr. Charlie strives to create impactful and empowering learning experiences. In addition to his teaching career, he has a wealth of experience in business, including consulting in UX design.

She has worked as a teacher and supported foreign students in elementary and middle schools in the prefecture. With extensive experience in public education, Ms. Emiko excels in providing personalized instruction tailored to the individual needs of her students, beyond the constraints of grade levels and textbooks.

Her project-based classes, such as those combining poetry and photography, have been featured on national television. Her passion for creative teaching inspires students to look forward to Japanese language lessons, finding joy and excitement in using words.

Originally from Kagoshima, Mr. Mihara graduated from Kyushu Sports College and the Faculty of Physical Education at the International Budo University.

Mr. Mihara has served as a coach for FC USA U-12, Karamassa Katsuura FC U-12, and Tochigi City FC U-25. Currently, he works as a physical coach for the Matsumoto Yamaga FC Youth Academy.

He holds a JFA Class 3 Referee License, a B-License Coaching Qualification, a Physical Fitness C-Class Certification, and a High School Health and Physical Education Teaching License. His high-quality lessons and coaching are widely recognized.

Originally from South Africa, Mr. Mike graduated from the University of South Africa with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.

At Oakridge College in South Africa, Mr. Mike taught middle and high school students. After moving to Japan in 2014, he has been teaching in International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, including English immersion courses (MYP and DP), as well as in the elementary division of international schools. Mr. Mike is an IB-certified teacher specializing in language instruction.

Mr. Mike has a diverse teaching background in subjects such as English, mathematics, biology, history, physical education, technology, and psychology. Known for his dynamic, engaging lessons, he combines warmth and energy to create a classroom atmosphere that inspires and motivates his students.

Originally from the United States, Mr. Cody graduated from Northern Arizona University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Music. As a talented trumpet player, he brings a creative flair to his teaching.

Since coming to Japan in 2008, Mr. Cody has worked at the English language school AtoZ and currently serves as the trainer. He also has teaching experience at Matsumoto University, as well as at elementary schools and kindergartens in Nagano Prefecture.

With a background in psychology, Mr. Cody is known for actively listening to his students and tailoring lessons to meet their individual needs. His thoughtful and personalized approach has earned him a strong reputation as an engaging and empathetic educator.
